Travel Destination - Penang - Armenian Street, Heritage and Culture
What would you do in Penang for 3 days and 2 nights? I was recently asked to design a travel program for a group of friends who were visiting Penang for a class reunion. Their requirements were fairly simple. Most of them have not been to Penang for years. They just want to get together. Catch up and have fun. Sounds simple. But it was not. Not knowing their likes and dislikes, it would be a challenge.

Cooking recipe, pork curry, home cooking
The northern Thai style pork curry is known as "gaeng hang leh muu" in Thailand. I first came to know of this dish on a recent trip to Chiang Mai, when I stayed at the fabulous "Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel" and had a traditional Lanna Thai dinner.

Restaurant Review - Bababoi Kitchen and Bar
Bababoi is a compact Malaysian restaurant that specialises in Nyonya style cuisine. A unique and distinctive culture and tradition in Malaysia, blending Malay and Indian spices in Chinese cooking. It is a melting pot of a bygone era brought back by Bababoi on the northwest bank of the Yarra River next to the  heritage listed Mission of Seafarers.

Restaurant Review - GOMO, Penang, Malaysia
Opened in Dec 2016 is this stylish and slick restaurant in the heart of George Town. Purripunn Boutique Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand
It has been 15 years since I last visited Chiang Mai. The place has changed. There are so many choices when it comes to book a hotel based on price, location, hotel ammenities and nearby attractions. After spending many hours researching the hotels and getting my bearing on Chiang Mai (google map), I have decided to book a hotel outside the old city. An obvious choice since I have already been to the old city the last time.

Restaurant Review - Lemongrass Thai, Chiang Mail, Thailand
First night dinner in Chiang Mai, I thought what better way to start by trying out this place which is raved by thousands of travelers in Trip Advisor as a must to eat when in Chiang Mai. It was packed at 6:30pm when we got there. We had to wait for a table. About 10 minutes which was reasonable being such a popular place.
It's casual, frenetic and fast but the food did take some time to arrive.

I must have broke my own record for making two dishes in less than half an hour that cost less than $20 AUD. It goes to show that it can be done at home without costing an arm and a leg. This is how I do it.
